    Bigguy in Ohio

    Hello all...

I have come here for some serious help.

I have been up and down in weight over 100 lbs in the last 10years, and right now i am about 5 foot 9 inches and weigh 310lbs. My goal right now is to be @ 210~225 by Jan 05.

I have read all the books like SOuth Beach, Dr. Phil, Atkins, etc... and worked out at many different Gyms.

This time i am trying something new, i decided to buy almost everyting i need to work out at home. So far i have Dumb bells from 10lbs to 100lbs in 10lb increments, and i have a bench for flat, incline, and decline bench, i have a rack for the bench and squats, i bought a treadmill and cross trainer as well.

I figure as much money as i have spent going to the gym and finding an excuse not to go: busy, daughter, work to much, etc, i will have no excuse now when it is in my basement.

What i am looking for from IM is this: I would like maybe some suggestions on a starting routine, i.e. treadmill time? basic movements on weights, even some food intake ideas. I am so determined this time to lose weight and keep it off, it is unreal, i just thought coming to this site for support would be another item on my side.

I am going to try and post pics as i go along, and i will start as soon as possible, even at this bigguy size, i want to be honest and i want to hear you honest opinions, besides your fat, thanks i know that, that is why i am here.

Well nice to meet everyone and hopefully this will be a great start to a long relationship with IM and its members.

    Thanks Brian

welcome Brian. Nice to see the balls to be so brutally honest. You may start hanging out in the training and nutrition forums. There are few guys their that have lost some substantial weight. I think Pepper and Once was Fat both have trimmed alot off. Jodi is quite knowledgeable on nutrition too. Shhh, don't tell her I said that. People here might think I'm actually kinda nice. lol

Again, welcome and good luck on your journey.

Hey Bigguy, just stopping by to welcome you to the forums!

Frankly, I think you've made the first step to a better you by deciding to purchase gym equipment in the first place and reading up on different diets and so forth. Good job! Now just keep you're goal in focus and I'm sure you'll succeed! See you around IM!
