Well, this may be a little longer than most introductions, but I like to state my whole case! I caught wind of this forum from a member on another forum I'm a part of, Explorer4x4.com. It's funny because I just, this past weekend, was wondering to myself where I could find a decent forum to discuss lifting, athletics, nutrition and the like. Looks like I found it! Anyway, I'm a 24 year old, retired college athlete from New Jersey. My sports career started when I was 11 when I began swimming at my local YMCA. I came to find out that I was pretty good at this sport and swam from that age right on thru high school and college, earning some nat'l rankings for my events. Although I'd been lifting throughout my college swimming career, I've only become serious about lifting within the last 2 years. When I stopped swimming competetively, I continued to work out and lift hard. It was awesome because, all of a sudden, I really began to grow---all those calories were finally able to be used elsewhere! Between the end of my Sr. year and now (approx. 2 years), I've gained 20 lbs of lean muscle. I currently weigh in at a lean 187lbs. My most current ambition is to get bigger (of course!). I'm not looking to compete (in body building), but I definately would like to be bigger. I'm pleased with my stature right now, but bigger is always better! I've been told by quite a few people (body building friends, trainers, etc.) that I need to eat more---which I know...I have a rather weak appetite---I eat till I'm full, then I'm done. For some guys, eating non-stop is not a problem...for me it would be an adjustment. I've come here looking for information on everything from better lifting techniques, to diets, to the best supplements. I haven't perused the site much as of yet, but I think I've been led to a great resource. I look forward to exchanging information with everyone! Thanks for a great site.
