I guess I jumped the gun and went right in to the regular forums before formally introducing myself in the new member arena.
My name is Shannon ( 24, 5'11" 160 lbs and goin up), and i am your normal fun lovin dude from sunny San Diego. I have been a fairly active hombre for most of my life playing sports all through my youth, i started weight lifting in high school, with a weight training class, and like most young idiotic males of my time i only cared about doing bench press and some bicep curls, and ate foods that i can't even look at without feeling guilty at anymore. Well i guess this led me to my back injury that i suffered my senior year in high school, so after a year of therapy, drugs, and what not, i think the only thing i didn't try was accupuncture, i finally had to have surgery(not something anyone wants, let alone a 19 year old freshman in college, and damn i had back surgery while on my spring break, how much does that suck). Well my life for that year that i had the injury drove me insane, for i could not do any physical activity and the only way i could get through the day was to down a bunch of pills. My weight ballooned to 187 lbs. the date of my surgery, by the time my next school year started i was down to a lean 160 lbs. I guess the injury was good cause it made me dedicated to always go at everything 100% no matter what. So for a couple years my weight slowly started to decrease, as i was overtraining massively and not eating the foods or quantity. that i really needed to eat to maintain a good healthy weight. I finally realized that something needed to be done when in november of 2003, i stepped on a scale and i was looking at tipping the scales below 140 lbs, with clothes and shoes on. Talk about a wake up call, so then i decided to take things serious and i came on to this website and other to get ideas on how to better myself physically. I am now up to a weight of 160 lbs of good solid lean weight, which i thank many of you for. And um i think that is about all i can think of. Oh yes goals, lets see i don't really ever plan on competing or anything like that, although i have been asked about modeling a few times, i just wanna get to be a huge ripped dude for when i go to the beach, which is about every day. I have a digital camera and someday when i get off my arse i'll throw on a few pics of my ugly arse for you to gaze upon. Well thanks and i'll talk to ya soon
