newbie looking for any advice. I have had some success putting on muscle but I was chubby when I started and even chubbier now at roughly 22% bf. I know lean muscle burn more calories but I'm sick of being embarrassed when i take my shirt off. I guess i don't know which direction to go: gain to speed up metabolism or lose muscle while dieting and start over from scratch. any help is greatly appreciated.
