Irish living in Germany-this forum is a godsend- can´t converse well in german
Hi, I´m Lorrie,
In December of 2003, I told myself I´d be fit by 40 (march 2004). I´,m 5ft 3 and weighed 141 lbs. My son was 2 and I´d been child raising for those 2 years. I was on bed rest much of the pregnancy and gained an awful lot of weight. In the last 3 years, I´ve had 5 operations. I felt and looked 55.
After 3 stops and start because my son got sick. l I finally managed to get a routine together to go regularly to the gym and have been doing so since May. Today, I´m, 118 lbs, and feel 35.
My goal of being fit by 40 is turning into reality. I haven´t even had a cold since i started to train regulary. I´m still smoking and the countdown to quit is 4 weeks by which time my son goes to Kindergarten (pre-school). I´ve tried before but this time I know I´ll do it.
Because my German is still quite basic, I can´t really have a good chat about sport and nutrition or get good advice, so I´m very happy to have found this forum.
