    New member...saying hello!

    Hi all!

Just thought I would introduce myself before I start asking questions/contributing. I am a 5' 9", 27 year old male. Been working out solidly for about 6 years. After my first year of university, I weighed in at 220lbs (and about 0% muscle). Long story, but I was always a heavier than average child. Anyhow, a friend and I decided that we would start hitting the uni gym rather than playing video games. I had worked out at home before, so I wasn't new to the idea, but I didn't realize how much is involved, and how much one can learn. So, I spent the next 6 years reading reading, observing, asking, etc, and I am where I am today. I got myself down to 160-165 lbs, and started looking muscular and lean.

About two years ago, I tested at 9% bodyfat at a gym (though I am completely sure that the result was a load of crap)...I was probably in the mid-teens. Anyhow, I started dating...workouts suffered...bodyfat rose. Two years later, I am single again, and can workout as I want. Going hard at it again, and starting to trim up.

I am in no way an expert in working out, and I don't pretend to be. I have learned things along the way, and am willing to share in discussions when I see the oportunity. Biggest lesson learned...what works for one person, won't necessarily work for the next. Gotta experiment and see what is right for you.

Anyhow, now that I talk the game...why am I not cut? Diet diet diet...and that nasty sugar. (hence the nickname) My diet actually isn't that bad...but the sugar cravings drive me nuts. I work so hard, and ruin it with that sweet stuff. Mind you, I can control it most of the time...but sometimes....

Well, I have been trolling around on these forums lately, and decided that I liked the community and the discussions going on, so I figured I would join up and partake in some of the talk. I'll have my share of questions along the way, so I know I'll enjoy my stay!
