A desk jockey tired of looking like one

Hey, just another newbie (to the board) here. After consistently putting on weight through college grad school and my first few years of my career, I've finally decided to reverse the process and get lean.
I'm already pretty big, so losing the fat is my main concern. I'm 6' even, and weigh 278 lbs. with a bf% of 17. I'm actually planning on getting into a few BB competitions, so I've gotten really serious about diet and consistency in the gym. The plan right now is to drop 33 lbs. by mid-April. So, I'm all about diet and cardio tips. I plan to hit 30 years old (in June) in the best shape of my life.
So I'm here to share and learn.
