New to this Forum
Hi
I am new to this forum. I was up reading alot of posts last night and this place looks pretty neat. First question, I am going to be 26 years old in May. Am I too old to start weight lifting?. I used to do weight lifting a few years ago but I could not put any weight on as I was pretty thin. I then met a girl and kinda stopped going (sex was to good ). Now I am fatter than I have ever been.Anyway, that was 3 years ago (This month). I joined the gym about 4 months ago. I started working out and after two months noticed I was building up. Faster than before. I had to stop because I hurt my wrist and elbow then I came down with a chest infection. It's all turned to fat again, this time making me bigger?. As from this evening, I am going to try my hardest to loose the fat and then built up. But am I now too old to gain a nice body? Thanks James |

Thanks for the welcome.
My biggest problem with weight training is dieting. I can never grasp it. James |

Thanks bullet
Wasn't sure if my body would grow big due to age. I guess age does not come in to play which is good :-) I will be starting my first workout tonight :-) |

just because test levels would be lower doesnt mean he wont receive the many other benefits of working out. in his initial post, he said he wanted a nice body. that can be easily obtained.

First of all Welcome!!!
And second, age is a number inside of your head, you are, IMO never too old to workout. Hell I'm 35 and finally did my first ever competition last May. My dad is 57 and that was his 2nd competition. Set your mind to it and do it!!! |

Thanks for the welcomes.
I did my first work out last night, pretty easy as I followed an artical in a magazine. I am going to measure my belly, chest and bicepts now, and again in 2 months time to see if there is any difference. When measuring, do I tense the arms, chest and push the belly out as far as it will go or just relax?. Cheers James |
