I've lost and gained 20 pounds in three and a half months

Hello everyone. I will get to the point and see what responses, if any, I may receive. I was becoming very health conscious over the summer. I lifted two to three times a week and cardio three to five times a week. My diet was improving as were all other lifestyles. Due to personal matters a few months ago, I lost 20 pounds, without intention. My fitness routine ground to a halt and I quickly gained the 20 pounds back, pretty certain that none was muscle growth.
I'm poor, to the point of eviction and cannot afford specialized meals, nor a membership to a gym. I do have a full bottle of MyoPro Whey 22g's left from months back.
At this point, I want to lose some fat. A lot of it, actually. I haven't a clue of my body mass index, but it won't be pretty. I'm 5'6", 150 pounds. Almost 28, female.
I suppose my question is directed to those who have been in my shoes and/or nutritionists. Is there a poor man's diet and exercise routine out there and if so, can anyone give me some pointers. I know the basics, walking the dog, running the neighborhood, but what about lifting with products found in the home?
I'd appreciate anything that anyone can offer. Thanks to you all.
