    New, Old, and Thanks

I'm new to this forum, undoubedly the oldest one on this board (want to have a contest?), and want to thank you for the recipes on this site. I was doing a search for special recipes and clicked on one. When I saw "Iron Magazine" and the "hunk" man picture, I almost clicked out, thinking there would be nothing for me here. However, I wanted to read the ingredients of that recipe, so I stayed around. I kept clicking on recipes, they were just what I was looking for, so I loaded up several word documents with recipes.

Some of the recipes took me to threads on this board - healthy eaters all. That is what I have in common with this board. My husband has been seriously ill for two months, three stays in the hospital, the worst place to be. I finally got him back and have to build him up. Fresh foods, veggies, good meats, very little or no sugar, but there must be something sweet to satisfy that taste bud. I needed new ways to make every meal interesting. I am usually engaged in politics, election law, and psychology - not cooking. I found what I needed on this web site.

It occurs to me, after studying this site, that "body building" is life long, whether one is 10 or 100, and, if there isn't a plan, one will not get there. The outside look of the body is surely important to those of you who post here, but there has to be something inside the body to support that frame and keep it healthy. It appears to me you know that and are building from the inside out. Totally commendable.

So, here I am at Iron Magazine, a body builder's web site.

Could someone tell me where to buy protein powder? I think that would be excellent to "re-build" my husband's strength and give my own body a boost as well.

Oh and about protein powder, any sport supplement store in your area should have that, but if you cant locate one, Walmarts and such do carry some of these products...Food remains your best source of protein!
