New here
Hey I'm Chris, what's going on everyone? After trying for a couple years now to gain muscle mass and weight I've decided to look on the internet for help and stumbled on this site in the process
![]() Anyways, the only question I really have is with the topic that Robert DiMaggio made "NEWBIES: 10 Things You Must Do to Gain Mass!". It says you should only be able to do 4 - 8 reps. Now, I know that the more weight you lift the more damage it does to that muscle, but what I've noticed is that if I dont get in 10+ reps I don't feel the muscle burn. Is that alright though? If I do curls 8 reps 3 sets and as much weight as possible and don't get a muscle burn, will that still be more beneficial in terms of gaining weight and mass? I'm only asking because I was always told you need to feel the muscle burn... Anyways, thanks for any help ![]() |

Proabably could've posted this with my orional post :P
Anyways, I'm 20 years old, I'm from Ontario, Canada, 6'2" (maybe slightly taller), I'm 143lbs ish or so. I have been working out for a couple years. Worked out for a year at the gym, didn't notice any difference other than I was toned and a lot stronger. Didn't gain any weight. (I also didn't eat very much at the time...like 2 meals per day tops) I was very frustrated after that, but then again I was very uneducated about everything :P I decided to get a weight set and bench to use at home because getting to the gym was also a problem with working lots. It was only until recently where I became semi-well educated about how to go towards gaining weight/muscle and all of that. I have been eating very well for 3 full months now (I didn't gain any weight the first 2 months because I was working out WAY too much for someone like me) I had just finished doing quite a bit of research on the net and had started my new workout routine and had finally made a schedule. I started it on Sunday, although I have been eating how I should be eating since Saturday. It's now Wednesday and I'm almost 100% positive that I have gained 2 - 3lbs already! This is the most I've gained since I was 16! I'm very happy that I have actually gained some weight so far in so little time I'm planning on doing this for 12 weeks (March 5, 2006). My plan is to get to 180lbs or maybe a little higher. Anyways, I think that about covers it. |
