I am new to this board and to training. I am 6'1" and am about 150lbs...so my uphill battle is pretty steep, I think. I've been thin my entire life, but I am also very toned and lean. I want a change.
I've begun a workout regime, recommended by a colleague who works out, and hope to see results so that I won't get discouraged.
I can't really afford to join the gym (single dad) so I purchased some free weights. I also began taking Muscle Milk powder. I am saving up for a gym membership, as I have been reading here how conducive that environment is for motivation.
My arms are already starting to show some minor signs of growth (4 days) and my apetite has probably doubled. I never used to eat in the morning, now I run downstairs to eat first thing. I also take a serving of the powder before bed so my body won't be fully anabolic while I sleep. With my fast metabolism, I'm probably burning lots calories just typing 80 words a minute. *laugh*
Anyway, I'm excited to be on this journey and I hope to see results and learn from some of you experts who have been doing this for years!
