    Newbie here!

    Hello all,

I am just getting serious about body development after about 16 years of non-activity and about a year of on and off again casual working out.

My goal is not competitions or awards...just to look and feel good.

I want mass, but not crazy mass. Going for more of the "300" movie look than the bulky body-builder look.

Trying to do the impossible by losing weight, adding muscle and shredding it all at the same time.

Thanks in advance for the patience.

Your goal are admirable, but, and as someone new to weight training, you should start with one goal. Such as weight loss.

One of the main reasons that so many people fail at weight training is that they try for too much too soon.

Take it nice and slow so that weight training becomes a way of life and not a failed hobby.
