Laura
I am a new member and have a few questions for possibly a trainer or anyone who may have comments.
Here's my scoop. I am a 50 year old female, 130 lbs, running and lifting on and off for over 20 years. I am currently aggressively lifting and have been for about 8 months and getting some great results I might say. (slacked off on the running quite a bit though). I have always had a muscular body anyway and the lifting is really pumping me up. I love the look. I usually change my routine about every 4 weeks due to adapting, and boredom if nothing else. I have a few questions for you and was hoping for a few tips. I have great abs, but I have that dreaded layer of fat over them so you can’t tell. (Probably from having 4 kids) Do you think it is all from diet? I have incorporated quite a bit of aggressive ab exercises throughout the week. Women have such a difficult time getting rid of that. Also, I have attached my current lifting routine. Could you take a quick look at it and see what you think? Thank you Laura Pointer |

They won't show unless you loss some fat I have the same problem. So cut those cals and do some cardio, Ive been swimming 4 times a weeks for 40 minutes and it melting off the fat. just a idea its the best form of cardio there is easy on the joints and it builds muscle

Welcome Laura,
I agree with Prince. Diet, not regimen. |

Welcome to Ironmag Laura.
Great to hear about your dedication to the sport. And after having 4 kids and still finding the time to work out is a great accomplishment. As the others have said sweety,it is all diet. |

Hi, welcome
Yes, getting rid of fat, from the amount of training you are doing, is probably your diet. Post up a typical day and let's see if we can make some adjustments......... |
