    New to Forum

Greetings all. I used to be an avid free weights workout nut, nothing ambitious except to fill out a uniform when I was in the Army. I've since retired from the military, lost motivation, and that was now 30 pudgy pounds ago.

I decided a little over a year ago to get back into lifting, but with added health reasons to do so (rising bad numbers in lab work results, HBP, Cholesterol, blood sugar, you know how it is). I spent a little to set up a starter weight room in my patio.

What I've found since I've attempted to get back into it in the last year is I just don't have that same jump start energy to really get into my routines like I used to x number of years ago. Many a 6-day workout schedule I find myself "saving" what motivation I do have for my favorite muscle groups and half-a$$ or even skip my less favorite workouts. I know it's expected... but is it acceptable?? I don't know, I guess I'm hoping that reading bodybuilders' posts and other novices' and experts' discussions about how to, tips, etc., here in these forums might help me find that fire I once had so I can find my way back to those days when my workout focus was me and the bar, and nothing else, or me and that last burning rep. I can't find it these days. I'm also hoping to run into discussions about ideas on energy boost supplements etc.. I used to use some pre-workout Weider products way back that did the trick. I can't find them by label anymore and I can't remember what they were by content to now shop by ingredients.

Anyway, I'll be in the background as you all discuss what you may!

You're, at least, the third IM member from Hawaii.

    Welcome to IM!
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.
