    gaining weight for women

Hi all I'm new to the forum and you guys seem pretty cool. I'm a woman who is very skinny I need to figure out how to build my toothpick legs and thigh area,
I'm 5'6 weighing a very thin 125lbs. I just invested in MHP weight gainer haven't opened it yet and I'm taking in about 1700 calories a day give or take. I'm due to start at community gym in a few days but I don't know where to begin,as far as weightlifting. Can someone help me or point me in the right direction. Please.............
