Happy 2011 everyone! I decided to record my fitness and nutrition logs on here. Goals for this year include: cutting body fat, holding onto as much muscle mass as possible, eating a well-balanced diet full of lean protein and veggies. I also would like to cut out all alcoholic beverages in my quest to get my six pack back!

Look forward to any motivation or tips you all may provide!
Goal: 8% Body Fat, maintain majority of muscle mass
New Years Resolution: stick to a fitness and diet plan that works long term.

Day 2 of lifting went very well. Since I am cutting I lift for a good 45 minutes in support of not over-training. I plan on working one body part a day, 3 different exercises.

Today I focused on my legs, performing an angled leg press 5 sets of 10-12 reps (3- 45lbs on each side), Leg extension 5 sets of 8-10 (125lbs was my last two sets of 8 reps), and seated calf raises (4 sets of 30 reps each- with 65 lbs on).

My diet has been outstanding, getting enough lean protein, carbs, A LOT of veggies and just a little bit of fruit post workout. Also have a handful of unsalted nuts a day.

I've been doing a wonderful job eat all the right foods. Today I took a day off from lifting. It sure is tough with a limited amount of energy with cutting most carbs and calories. I will continue to lift tomorrow. I also have not done any cardio this week.

I'm still very successful with watching what I eat: plenty of veggies, fruits before and after a workout, lean protein including chicken/turkey breast, olive oil with cooking as well as unsalted nuts.

I lift every day for about 45 minutes to an hour, focusing on one body part a day.
