Squat for Cardio?

I've done clean cardio and loved it. Though it inflames my tendonitis in my arms. I was wonding if you used the same premise and rep scheme, if you could use squats and Deads for cardio as well? Using descending reps.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...

But when you disarm them, you at once offend them by showing that you distrust them, either for cowardice or for want of loyalty, and either of these opinions breeds hatred against you.

If you want to achieve things that others can't...

You have to do things that others won't.

How would cardio affect your arms ? Most machines you have the option of using the arms or keeping them idle..
