Words of wisdom for Lynn. I'm surprised he did so much today. Hopefully he can keep it up. Thanks for putting together that DVD

I assume the DVD played OK then? Those cheap blanks don't always play on all DVD players. Wasn't much effort to throw it together, the software makes it pretty easy to just drag and drop the clips around.

Hey Pete... Do you know what's up with Inzer? I ordered my briefs almost a month ago (3/24) and still don't have shipping confirmation. I called about a week and a half after I ordered, and all I got was "They're still in production" no timeframe or anything.

From what I've heard this is fairly normal for Inzer, is that correct? One guy I talked to at the north gym said he ordered a bench shirt from them in January and still didn't have it in late march/early April and still may not have it for all I know.

I think I remember Dave mentioning he had trouble with them too. Is there any other place to get a decent pair of basic single ply briefs to get started with in the $40-60 range?

Ordering online with Inzer is terrible. I've had to eventually call about every order I've placed online, and then miraculously it arrives a few days later, as if I had to remind them about the order. My last order was a belt that took a month to arrive. I've heard that ordering via phone is much faster, maybe someday I'll learn to go that route. Irongladiators.com carries Inzer gear and is much, much faster, and they'll help you to get exact sizing.

Yeah, I checked out irongladiators, but it didn't look like they carried single ply briefs, only doube ply that run $100.+

I've ordered knee wraps and a lever belt before from Inzer and got them in a very timely manner without having to call, but I guess it depends on if what you order's in stock...

houseofpain.com might have a little wider selection of briefs. They're not as easy to deal with as Irongladiators, but better than Inzer direct.

I just called Inzer and they said they should be shipping out any day now, sometime this week, and they upgraded the shipping to 2 business days... I probably won't order from them again .

Don't order on line. Order over the phone. I've always received my stuff within 10 days if I order over the phone.

Any words of wisdom to brief virgins besides always wearing underwear under them? Should they be broken in somehow with lighter weight ~70-80% before going heavy? What about washing/drying, need to do anything special?

Make sure you fluff them up as high as you can. Sit back and flare your knees out. I wash and dry my powerpants but I don't wash the predators. Just start going heavy. There's not much of a learning curve with the power pants.

Also, if they're too loose, don't send them back. Just turn them inside out and have Pong take them in at the outer seams. Pong will only charge about $10 or so, you'll pay more than that shipping them back to Inzer.

After a while, the briefs get loose and you have to have Pong take them in some more. The power pants last a while, I've been wearing the same ones for three years, taken in only once, but I've had my predators taken in 5 times in the last two years, about 1/8 inch at a time. Expect about a 30-50 lb pop out of the briefs.

Briefs got here today: They seem WAY too small, I can't even get them passed my hips/butt.

I got the 34's which are supposed to be for 185-205lbs according to their chart. I'm right around 200 right now. Should I send them back for the 36's?

Turn them inside out. Put each leg on and pull them up your thighs as high as you can. then grab the bottoms and pull up. Kind of the reverse of peeling them off.

By each leg, you mean put them on one at a time, and by grabbing the bottoms, you mean the bottom part of the leg sleeve?

TUrn the suit inside out then hold the suit upside down. make sure the tag is in the back. Put the legs of the suit on first. put your legs through each leg opening and pull each leg of the suit as high as you can up your thighs. Once you get the suit up as high as you can, grab the waist of the briefs and pull up so the suit turns over outside in. You know how when you take briefs off, you pull them down from the waist and they come off inside out? Put them on in reverse, outside in.

Close grip bench:
275 for 3 sets of 5
275 for 10, I think?

Close grip 4 board press:
315 X 3
345 X 3
365 X 3

Pin presses plus mini-bands anchored to the base of the rack-about 80-100 lbs added tension?
365 plus bands for 3 sets of 3

Reverse band deadlifts: All the heavy bands are attached to the monolift with a note from Chuck V that states "Do not remove bands ever". Deadlift Dave wouldn't sack up and remove the bands so we ended up using the mini-bands, about a 40 lb deload at best:

235 X 2
325 X 1
415 X 1
505 X 1
555 X 1
595 X 1
625 X 1

Chain suspended good mornings with cambered bar:
330 X 5
380 X 5
420 X 5

Barbell curls:
95 for 3 sets of 8

hammer curls:
55's for 2 sets of 8

standing ab pulldowns:
3 sets of 10

Managed to jack up my rt rotator cuff from sunday so took it easy today.

reverse band speed bench with minibands, about a 75 lb deload:
315 for 8 sets of 3

seated military press:
185 for 3 sets of 8

rear delts:
3 plates & quarter for 3 sets of 6

Side laterals:
25's for 3 sets of 10

Standing ab pulldowns:
130 for 3 sets of 12

Shoulder is a bit tweaked so probably sticking with the reverse band benches for a while.

Speed squats:
Hatfield bar low box squats with 405 for 8 sets of 2 inside of 10 minutes minus a monolift equals death. Walking weight out is a bitch. The monolift spoils you.

Glute ham raises:
4 sets to failure

Standing ab pulldowns supersetted with the ab wheel of death:
3 sets

Took an early one in the commercial gym today because I'm leaving town for a wedding. I was going to squat at Lexen but I didn't want to take the risk of running into CV. His crew probably uses 800 for speed work: "Excuse me Chuck, but can we take two of the hundreds off each side so I can squat?" Chuck's response, "Who in the bluest of blue hells are you and why is Dave Schwab wasting his time lifting with your sorry ass?"

Back attack from hell:

45 degree back extensions with cambered bar on back:
95 for 3 sets of 10

Glute ham raises:
3 sets of failure

Pull thru's:
150 for 3 sets of 15
Erectors cramping bad at this point.

Chest supported rows:
4 plates for 3 sets of 5

Lat pulldowns:
220 X 8
240 X 8
250 X 6

Barbell curls:
85 X 8
95 X 8
105 X 8

Hammer curls:
50's X 8
55's X 8

Standing ab pulldowns:
120 X 12
130 for 2 sets of 10

Hey Pete, what bands should I use for reverse band benching? I'm going to try and set that up this saturday. Lights, averages, or strong bands?

Any of them really. The strong bands will give you about a 125 lb deload, the mini-bands about 75, but there's really no sense using reverse bands if you're not shirt benching. It's purely a lock-out exercise.

Rt rotator cuff is still torqued. Really don't know what's going on. It doesn't really hurt unless I'm benching or doing side laterals. Otherwise the pain gets no better or worse.

Speed bench:
185 for 8 sets of 3

Standing military press on plate loaded squat machine:
275 X 5
295 X 5
315 X 5

Rear delts on seated machine row:
3 plates & quarter/side for 4 sets of 8

H rolls:
25's for 3 sets of 10

Side lateral raises:
25's X 10
30's X 10
35's X 10

Standing ab pulldowns:
120 X 8
130 X 10
130 X 12
140 X 8

Tomorrow taking a heavy squat, something in the 650 range, assuming I can get my shoulders under a straight bar. Haven't had any real weight on my back since the meet.

Heavy Squat:

Wanted to take a heavy one today but got roped into a Chuck V squat workout: Straight bar squats with 4 chains per side, down to a low box with a sofa cushion on top which came from someone's grandmother's house. Basically you sink into the cushion until you hit the box and come back up. Real easy to lose tightness on the cushion. Rt shoulder was jacked trying to get under the bar but it eventually loosened up:

325 plus 200 lbs of chains 2 sets of 2
375 plus 200 lbs of chains 2 sets of 2
414 plus 200 lbs of chains 2 sets of 2

About 1-2 minutes rest between sets.

Speed deadlifts against double choked mini-bands. About 50 lbs added tension on the floor and 100 lbs at lock-out:

315 plus bands for 6 singles

Reverse hypers:
3 sets of 8

Ab wheel of death:
3 sets
