Digital Coax usually is better, I tried both and found that my picture was crisper with the RCA maybe they used better parts in my tv or cable box on the RCA than on the Coax.....I'd say try both and see which is better......
In fact I bet if you search those Video/Audiophile forums you can find someone who has already done the test for you and knows which one has better quality on your tv and through your box.....
Don't get fooled into the cheap cables are as good as expensive cables thing but also don't get fooled that a mid-range priced cable is as bad as a dollar store cheapy cable either. Their are factors that cheap cables may skrimp on that can make the signal bad maybe not right away but overtime it will degrade.....things like impedance and shielding, especially if you have the power cord running along side the media cable.....
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
