This has been going on for last few years......

China wants a chunk of India's oversea's supplies.....

My friend lives in china, works for John Deer India but has been posted to China to set up some facility.....& he tell's me things which are HARD to believe but are true.

My family business is design, production, manufacturing & commissioning of manufacturing facility for power industries and we get a lot of this China talk from our client's in meetings.

Chinese people are VERY good at duplicating but when it comes to problem solving in products they just keep quiet...

Everyone knows the recent news regarding the contaminated milk n all, there many such things which China government blankets.

Many of our clients threatened to stop buying from us if we did not drop prices to meet China prices, We never did & they never purchased from China.

Purchase is a one time thing, but when it comes to service n support you can't depend on a vendor who's that far & has no international network for support n service.

If my friend with the solar cooker needed to find someone to build them is that what your families business does?

Chinese people are VERY good at duplicating but when it comes to problem solving in products they just keep quiet......"Yes their schools teach them the technical skills but as far as creativity, critical thinking and abstract problem solving they are lacking."

Many of our clients threatened to stop buying from us if we did not drop prices to meet China prices, We never did & they never purchased from China. "The solar industry is facing a similar dilemma, chinese solar modules are dirt cheap but they are also cheaply made and have a wide variance in actual output like +/- 12%(usually -), whereas our American/Japanese modules are in the +/- 3% range. Also I tell my customers that the smaller modules 10-20 watt that we get from China have changed shape, cell type and actual voltage.amperage 5 times over the last 4 years so it's nearly impossible to get a consistent product from them and they don't communicate they are making these changes. When you have a system on your roof it looks bad when your panels are all mismatched sizes and appearances...."

Purchase is a one time thing, but when it comes to service n support you can't depend on a vendor who's that far & has no international network for support n service.
Exactly that's the other factor, we had a 10watt Chinese module fail so bad it had melted the terminals in the junction box. It was less than a year old, when we called to get a warranty replacement they told us the manufacturer of that panel had gone out of business and the warranty had gone with it, yet we were still getting modules we thought through the same channel. Either they change the name of their facilities every so often or they trade customers amongst each other over there and don't tell anyone until the time comes to get a warranty or something......it's very sketchy, shady dealing with those guys....
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

My friend did mention that you can go to some shop in China & place an order for like 500 pieces of Nokia cell phone model. The owner will show you 3 grades for that same model, A being the best & C being the worst.

Once decided you get the delivery SAME day! all duplicate stuff packed in Nokia look alike boxes with warranty cards which are as good a toilet papers.

I also hear that all this international companies getting there stuff from China have specific quality grades for select region of the world even though the product/model is same.

China is just flooding the market with crappy stuff....they always did.

Tell me.....If the supps you buy has "Made In China" printed on it, will you buy it?
