Sorry to hear that.......my father died at 50 from electrocution.....
"We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Natures inexhaustible sources of energy — sun, wind and tide. ... I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that."

thanks. i'd like to tell his wife and daughter how sorry i am but i really don't know the etiquette for an ex 26 years removed in this situation. maybe later i'll contact his daughter. i have some heartwarming and some funny stories she might like to hear. Stephen C Stephen C GILFORD, N.H. -- Stephen C had a zest for life that was surpassed only by his love for daughter, Chandra. His life was sadly cut short on Saturday, June 13, 2009, while pursuing one of his passions - he was flying his newly purchased Cessna plane when he crashed shortly after take off in Gilford, N.H. State police and on lookers have called Steve a hero as it was very clear that he navigated the crippled aircraft away from buildings and pedestrians. Born in Beverly, Mass. on July 4, 1958, to Stephen C Sr. and Joan R; Steve was both independent and spirited as befits one born on that day. He was a highly intelligent and articulate man but, also emotional and very passionate. He loved to laugh and it was hard not to have fun when Steve was around. When he was excited, he was like a 5 year old little boy in a candy store but when he was angry, he had the force of a level 5 hurricane. He lived every day of his of his life to the fullest and used to tell his family if he passed away, not to feel bad because he had had a great life. Steve was a man of many talents. He was an accomplished pilot who on more than one occasion had safely landed a disabled aircraft saving his passengers. He was an accomplished chef and a champion boxer who volunteered his time coaching and refereeing at the Portland Boxing Club. But his greatest love and most important job was raising his beautiful daughter Chandra as a single dad. She was his pride and joy. His second greatest love was his best friend and wife of five years, Tracy C. Steve and Tracy not only shared a deep devotion to each other but to their dogs, Raven and Cy. Survivors include Steve's wife Tracy C; and daughter Chandra C; his mother Joan R, his father Stephen C Sr.; his half sister January C, his half brother Justin C; and his loyal dogs, Raven and Cy. Steve was predeceased by a brother, Robbie. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Jones, Rich & Hutchins, 199 Woodford St., Portland. A church service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Green Memorial Church, Sheridan Street, Munjoy Hill, Portland. A celebration of Steve's life will immediately follow. Memorial contributions may be made in Steve's honor to: The Animal Refuge League P.O. Box 336 Westbrook, Maine 04092 i thought so many times this past year just to get in touch and see how he was doing. i didn't know he was a dad but it sounds like he was a good one. make those phone calls people. friggin' what a waste. only got 5 years with his current wife i feel so bad for her and his daughter. 50 years is so not a lifetime but how many men can say don't grieve for me i had a great life?

Another plane crash. These are supposed to happen to commercial airliners twice a year but within the space of a month there's been two. On the news it's just about violence in the middle east, fatal accidents in europe and celebrities dying in the USA. It really is a bleak time.

i like little planes better than big ones but every time you leave the ground you're gambling. some of the old timers on here probably remember the horse penis story. we ran a boarding stables and the first time i saw a horse penis i ran in the house crying and told him dusty bit both of the ponies in the stomach and their guts were hanging out. he grabbed the shotgun and ran out to deal with the terrible situation i described. then came back in laughing so hard tears were rolling down his face and explained to me about horses and warm spring days. oy. |

If I ever got divorced, I would hope that we would still remain friends. That says a lot about a person and their character. Kudos to you Wing, You're tops in my book! ![]()
