well, I seem to remember you two having a great fond for a former member here named DOMS who was a HUGE racist, so if you like a racist I just assume that you are one.
the problem is I don't know if 4 or even 8 years is enough time for Obama to repair the damage Bush did, so either way you guys will say he failed when it's all said and done. IronMagLabs 1-ANDRO Rx Pro-Hormone - BUY 2 GET 1 FREE SPECIAL! BOARD SPONSORS: ![]()

You are all being duped, from all sides....
Politics has become a huge ad campaign, it's all about who can market their product in a pretty package better. Billy Mays, Karl Rove, James Carville same job different products. It's quite easy to do since all your product has to be is the polar opposite of your opponent. Theirs the Cheaper brand (empty promises of less or no new taxes) and the Expensive brand (promises of more tax consuming programs) everyone knows they are most likely the same product and they are likely to get the same results either way so they tell themselves before shopping day they will just choose the Newer Brand in Middle price range because the company hocking it seems to have done their homework a little better.... But then when the day comes for picking it off the shelf they panic and grab the good old familiar...... The Latter Day Bush's 8 years should be enough evidence to all of you that Pres. can just be shiny wrapping on a whole package of shit......you know what they say about polishing turds right?
"We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Natures inexhaustible sources of energy — sun, wind and tide. ... I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that."

yea, thats how i thought of it as well. I have no doubt that if DOMS saw someone he could help he would do it regardless of race. People around here need to be a little thicker skinned.

You hit the nail on the head.

Republicrats. I am very disappointed in Obama. I also does not matter which candidate wins in 2012, or which party controls the House and Senate at this stage even before it. The United States is heading for insolvency. Period. Medicare in less than 7 years, and Social Security, afterward. 77 million baby boomers born from 1946 to 1964 hitting both of these rolls. Medical costs, year deficits, the "stimulus," and so on. There is not changing the fiscal course the US is on. China and the rest of the world are slow buying up non-USD currencies and gold, copper and other commodities. The US is printing money and dumping Treasury Bills. The party will soon be over, IMO.

I am not being duped, I have ALWAYS viewed ALL politicians as lying salesman that will do whatever the highest bidder will pay them to do.
Big Smoothy, if you were president of the US today tell me a few things YOU would do to get the US on the right path and fix the biggest issues at hand, i.e. the economy. AND explain why the way you would handle things would be more effective than how they are being handled now and in the past. IronMagLabs 1-ANDRO Rx Pro-Hormone - BUY 2 GET 1 FREE SPECIAL! Let me answer that... I would stop spending. No stimulus packages, no bail outs, no mortgage forgiveness, no pumping billions into GM just to have it go bankrupt. I would let the banks fail. I would let the homes foreclose. I would let companies go under. I would let the market fail or succeed as it naturally should without interferring. If that means another Great Depression, so be it. Spending trillions can make things seem better for a while but it is just a bandaid on the problem and ultimately it makes it worse. This has to be paid back eventually. People blame Bush for this. They say it was because of his military spending. Obama's spending way more money than Bush did and somehow everyone thinks that's okay. YOU CAN"T GET OUT OF DEBT BY SPENDING MONEY. The only way to get out of debt is to quit spending, cut back on your lifestyle and pay it down. The American people aren't willing to do that. They still want to spend, spend, spend. I don't believe it is all Bush's fault. This has been building for decades. Clinton is just as much to blame with making sure everyone could get home loans whether or not they could actually afford it. The problem is with everyone's feeling of entitlement. Everyone feels they deserve a home, an SUV, computers, big screen tv's, etc... People put it all on credit. They can't afford it. The whole country is mortgaged and everything is bought on credit. It is a house of cards and it's coming crashing down. Obama is just piling more cards on the house. It might delay it but it will still crash down. We need something with a little substance. |

But I would do this: 1. I would not have done any stimulus spending after the first Stimulus for the Meltdown of last September. 2. I wold not have increased the M-money supply. 3. I woud take the pay as you go approach and not run annual deficits as GWB and now Obama are doing. How not to? That means spend less, and probably means cuts in many things. I've never claimed I'd handle things more effectively than now. I'm not trying to be pessimistic, I believe I'm being realistic. Please read this: Quote:
I'll post a link for the above, in a couple minutes. Edit in: Here is the link. Please browse this and notice the chart on Bonds (Treasury Bills). Link: http://www.sprott.com/Docs/Marketsat.../June_2009.pdf

Honestly Prince, no.
It's based on mathematics. I hope everyone watches the 30 minutes video on YouTube called, "IOUSA," freaturing form GAO head, David Walker.

I just watched the video, he says our health care is 5 times worse than social security and he said the medicare bill to include Rx drugs that Bush passed a few years ago was the most fiscal irresponsible act by the government since the 1960's, we would need $8 trillion today to cover what this bill promises over the next 75 years. Good Job GWB!

And Walker states that at that time in 2006, the US Gov needed $17 Trillion dollars invested at Treasury rates to cover it. How much did the US gov have? $0. Above is the "60 Minutes" interview posted by Prince, but everyone please Youtube "IOUSA." It's 30 minutes long, produced by Dave Walker, and has excellent charts and graphs. It's done very well. Prince: no, the US should not fold. We will survive and live. But I think our standard of living will be different, and we'll appreciate the more simple things in life.
