The police were also baffled by reports the “man monkey” could jump down from multi story buildings and sprint long distances in seconds!

Accounts of what the attacker looks like have varied wildly. Some said it had a metallic claw, others said it was like a cat with glowing eyes. One story also said it had “flaming red eyes and green lights glowing in its chest!

One witness said.. “We were walking one evening and ran into the Monkeyman. The monster sprang up 20 feet from a crouching position, grabbed the branches of a tree and then vanished before my children and I could even scream!”

Many local residents say the attacks are by a genetic scientist who experimented on himself with an unspecified and untested serum!

The bizarre figure is vividly described as anything from a tiny man dressed as a monkey to a seven-foot beast with illuminated green eyes!

One witness said. “He touches a lock and it breaks, but he is afraid of the light!”

A homeless man had gone into the woods to use the toilet and was attacked and killed. Witnesses say a shadow had grappled with him and then disappeared.

A sleeping rail worker was killed! One of his colleagues saw him being attacked by a shadow. Police reports say he died from deep gashes in his skull!

Those who survived the attack claimed they saw strange lights coming from the Monkeymans body but, before they could make sense of it, the creature escaped!

People have witnessed unusual signs and are expecting magical acts from the creature.

The police’s failure to capture the Monkeyman is explained by his ability to make himself invisible!

A group described the creature.. “It looks like a monkey and has green lights as eyes and springs on its feet. It has a huge metallic silver hand which glows in the dark!

Eyewitnesses claim the mystery assailant looks like a demonic variant of a human being!

Panic caused residents to catch a girl named Manju and seriously beat her! They claimed that the devilish soul of a monkey had entered her body!

A mechanic wearing a black outfit was badly beaten. Then a second man was attacked for apparently performing “Mystical Formulations!”

The National Human Rights Council said it would hold a religious ceremony in the heart of New Dehli to pray for the city’s release from the clutches of the ape-like menace!
