Ok, haven't seen this thread before. Time to bring out the metro in us.

What clothing lines do you guys like? Anything from Walmart to Ed Hardy.

Personally I like the Affliction line really well, but I don't like dropping 75 bucks on a T-shirt, so I wear a lot of Archaic, Manchester, One More Round, and Lucky Brand. The cuts on these T-shirts fit well (in my opinion) on a bigger guy, and the Lucky Brand jeans seem to fit better. This can be a little bit of an issue for guys with bigger legs and smaller waists. You either end up with saggy ass syndrome, or jeans that look like they were painted on your legs. The sleeves on the shirts tend to be a little shorter and they fit a little tight across the chest, so shows off our hard work in the gym a little, without running around in a tank top.

Anyone have any opinions on clothing lines that work well on bigger guys?

Hubby likes Banana Republic - everything fits him off the rack and the t-shirts are long enough. They have a good price-point, especially if you can catch the sales, and the style is the right balance between casual and smart-casual for him.

I've also bought him a few Hollister shirts - they have a small cut through the waist, and again, they're long enough. I like the fact that it's an athletic cut - it's very flattering. Very soft fabrics, too.

Jeans, he's a purist: Levi's 501s.

For the more casual stuff, Volcom's awesome. I just picked him up a pair of Volcom shorts and they're great.

I'd tell you what I like for myself but very few here would find it helpful...

I like Hollister, but avoid it for the same reason I avoid Affliction. Just a bit higher in price than I want to spend. But the cuts are similiar, with the soft fabric. Really comfortable shirts.

Googling Volcom, not familiar.

Of course if I got on a skateboard my life expectancy would drop to nil.
