Should Jim Zorn get fired?
After latest loss, Zorn questioned about future
By HOWARD FENDRICH (AP) – 31 minutes ago LANDOVER, Md. — Jim Zorn stood alone on the sideline Sunday, his headset off, his arms folded across his chest, hearing the dwindling crowd's boos and watching the seconds tick away on his Washington Redskins' latest loss to a previously winless team. Zorn began his postgame news conference with a loud, lengthy sigh into the microphone. And the coach kept on sighing as he discussed Washington's 14-6 setback against the Kansas City Chiefs, which dropped the Redskins to 2-4 this season and 4-10 over their past 14 games. "I've got to be better. And it really irritates me. Truly irritates me," Zorn said. "And I'm just not going to rest until I get that taken care of." The heat on Zorn is sure to increase leading up to Washington's next outing: a high-profile Monday night game Oct. 26 against the Philadelphia Eagles, which is followed by the Redskins' bye week. "Winning would help," linebacker London Fletcher said. "We haven't performed up to our abilities to help coach Zorn out." As it is, the Redskins are the first team in NFL history to face six consecutive winless opponents, but they haven't managed to take advantage. In Week 3, the Redskins lost to the Detroit Lions, 0-2 at the time and riding a 19-game losing streak. Last weekend, the Redskins lost to the Carolina Panthers, who were 0-3 entering that game. |

When Dan Snyder came in, there was a big buzz. He had the money, and still does. Buy up (older) stars. Then the many QBs, and coaches, and still mediocre. How many coaches have their been? I've lost count: Nor Turner, Spurrier, Jorgonsen, Schottenheimer, Zorn? The Skins have intense fans, that's for sure. Lot of things go into making a winning team.

He just may get fired.
Synder, like the Angelos of the Baseball Orioles have taken a once proud franchise and destroyed them. Jim Zorn stripped of play-calling duties after loss - ESPN Quote:

Snyder has the big bucks. He a Redskins fan. Always has been. That does not make him a "football guy" when it comes to decisions about the team he owns. He used to make many decision about personel. Does he still? Or, did he hand over the reigns for scouting, drafting, GM to others, and step back? Big $$$, does not equal success in the NFL, that is for sure.

Next year maybe the Skin's should hire June Jones and have him do the magic he did with Colt Brennan all over again....
"We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Natures inexhaustible sources of energy — sun, wind and tide. ... I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that."

he wouldn't have the big WR's that he can just throw the ball up to and they will go get it for him i think he would end up throwing alot of INT's and the O-Line wouldn't be able to keep him upright.
