It's sooo depressing how slow and dead this open chat has been lately...I'm going to give this a shot and see if we can get the engine turning again.

Here's an open survey-
The topic is memorable U.S. history events.

If you could name one defining moment in American history, whether it be apart of a war, presidential campaign, movie, sporting event, foreign affair, etc. Anything goes, what would that one defining moment be that is most favorable to you?

When the Gonzo mad man blew his mind the ultimate way.....I was sad that day....but man I know I don't ever want to get old either......I hope I go like Morrison or Hendrix I'd hate to have to resort to violence as my last alternative for the end of the night.....

"We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Natures inexhaustible sources of energy — sun, wind and tide. ... I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that."

Some bringing up when the white house got burned down by the british/canadian colonies is not memorable?

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

Does this moment have to be positive? I think the signing of the Federal Reserve Act in 1913 was one of the most significant changes in our country, but also one of the ones that has caused the most harm.

Yes I'm back. I was kidnapped by Dale and kept in his basement as a sex slave for 3 years. It was pretty cool.
