Great idea.
Im skeptical about how many of those examples shown on the video are actually real, and how many have been simulated using video editing software.
I buy the whole projecting the desktop onto any surface, and the gestures and things, but the part when he grabbed info from the paper just lying on his desk and made a perfect copy on his digital document smelled like bullshit to me.
Not saying its not possible, but im pretty sure that was illustrating his aspirations rather than the current state of the technology.
Love the idea though. So much easier than lugging a laptop around.

your brain does things all the time you don't have faith it can do. even dumb things can make you realize the untapped potential is vast. if i don't think about it and let my subconscious find the next moves in solitaire my brain knows where cards are my eyes haven't taken note of yet. the more i think about the moves the longer they take.
this guys ability to think outside the box and trust himself is spectacular.
but this is open chat...
how many of us wondered what would happen if he put the coffee cup, a pen, um.... his penis on the interactive screen?

you don't get what you wish for ~ you get what you work for
...
some of that can be done in different ways

I'm not walking around with marker caps on my fingertips, that's just too dorky for me.....
I am a member at TED there are a lot of awesome ideas floating around that site....

but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

It should be based on eye movements(90%) and voice(10%). There should be no visible screen to anyone but the user. He's thinking outside the box. In this situation it's about outside in, not inside out, IMHO.
Not a good investment.

About a decade ago a guy created a keyboard that split in half, and each half attached to your left and right hands. The screen was in the glasses that you wore, and I always wanted a setup like that, where I could check email while walking...
This guys setup is pretty damn neat, of course battery life wont be there just yet but things are getting interesting.

I think it's pretty cool because you can decide how large a screen you want, if you want a more private look at your data you sit down and focus your projection on a small piece of paper, or a table top in the back of a cafe, but say your with a couple of people and need to share the display you can bring it up on a wall and all look at it together.....
The biggest problem I have is that the surface needs to be at a 90 degree angle or the projection will be skewed, if you sit at a table there needs to be a way for the display to adjust itself to angled surfaces.....

I think have to realize how people are using current technology to predict how they would use this. Think the about the older people using bluetooth and the younger ones using text.
Generalizing..... The older ones want to pretend they know everything and not show a screen. The younger ones are going to send the information discretely.
