This one is sad but also amazing to see compassion is not just a human thing....

my cat, fungus, had a single baby, freya. Lobo had two kittens, bela and boris, that she rejected completely when they were born. once freya was old enough that fungus felt ok having the older kittens near her she started parenting them all. the kitten's (all 3 are female) will never be bred but i think if they were they'd have learned to be good mothers from fungus.

hopefully NOT from me and Tyler... we held their butts under streaming warm water to make them go poop.

no. i gave them mineral oil laced kitty milk n glycerin suppositories. that was unsettling enough. one died before i resorted to disobeying the vet. the two that made it are very human loving. they're waiting outside my door when i get up every morning n i have to lift them off of me to go to bed usually. bela is especially loving she'll rub her face on mine and just hold it there soaking up the love. she's in my left arm now purring up a storm.

The crow taking care of the cat is such a cool vid. I will have to google that and see if there is any follow up stories on it.

i need to take some vids of my cats and the squirrels i feed. the cats watch them get peanuts from the window sills. i put meat out for all the big ravens too but they're much more shy.

NORTH ATTLEBORO - An unbelievable relationship struck between a kitten and a crow a decade ago will be replayed on the National Geographic channel at 8 p.m. Saturday, says the cat's owner.

Wallace Collito said the incredible duo - Cassie the cat and the crow dubbed Moses - caught on tape, will be rebroadcast.

The relationship started when the crow nursed the abandoned kitten, which ended up at the Collito's East Washington Street home back in 1999. The couple even has videotape of the two playing.

Moses, however, flew the coop about five years ago.

"Maybe he found a girlfriend," Collito said, chuckling. Cassie, now age 10, still rides with him in the car. "She's a good cat," Collito said.

I live 15 minutes away from North Attleboro. It was all over the news when it happened.

My cat used to do this to me every morning around 6am before i went off to college and she switched over to my mother
