    Question Movies to TV via Thumbdrive

    My laptop lacks a video output option, and my TV only has standard jacks. I'm tired of burning DVDs.

    Are there affordable DVD drives with a USB input that can play MPEG4, AVI or similar format?

    What options exist for playing downloaded movies on TV in my low-tech environment?

    Just found this DVD player that plays DivX movies from flash drive. I feel like a cave man...

    Go by an external HD and load up a bunch of movies, fuck a thumbdrive....

    Not even S-Video? Pretty much every laptop that's been made in the last 8 years has this.
    So many cries of inequality stem from one of group

    No, It doesn't have an S-vid. It's one of those netbook types. Doesn't even have a CD-ROM.

    I have an external drive, but I lack the means to wire it to a TV with no USB.
