    Senior health care solution

So you're a senior citizen and the government says no health care for you, what do you do?

Our plan gives anyone 65 years or older a gun and 4 bullets. Your are allowed to shoot 2 senators and 2 representatives. Of Course, this means you will be sent to prison where you will get 3 meals a day, a roof over your head, and all the health care you need! New teeth, no problem. Need glasses, great. New hip, knees, kidney, lungs, heart? All covered.

And who will be paying for all of this? The same government that just told you that you are too old for health care. Plus, because you are a prisoner, you don't have to pay any income taxes anymore.

IS THIS A GREAT COUNTRY OR WHAT?!

Y'know, that's sad, but probably pretty accurate. What they should do is cut all benefits for hard-timers, and transfer the monies to the old timers.

I am a fairly liberal guy when it comes to social issues, but I firmly believe that all first degree raspiest and murderers should be executed within 10 days of their sentencing.

Drug offenders should be let out.

The remaining violent criminals should build roads.

Regardless of the debate about the severity of punishment, I think that anyone who is sentenced to any amount of time should serve said time in conditions that allow them to exist . Only basic human needs should be covered. Three hots and a cot, and a toilet. No television, no craft time, no working out, no computers, no outside contact...nothing. You did the crime, you violated someone else's rights or worse, you're living on my dime.....so shut up and wait out your sentence...punk ass.

What about some young punk that robs a liquor store?
What if we trained him in a craft and worked his ass off? My comment about building roads was vague.

Who says he is going to give a shit to get trained? They already have that opportunity in there, and very few take advantage of it.

You either learn a trade, or you do hard labor. The incentive to learn a trade keeps you from toting bags of concrete.

Fuck, lol, I don't know. But workout gyms and cable TV is bullshit.

Medicare is going to be a serious issue, and likely very soon.

    It cannot be ignored anymore.

When people turn 65, the insurance companies raise their premiums so high they cannot afford it - this is done to move them to medicare, as they qualify at 65.

Medical costs has risen a lot because of the Medicare system.

    I don't have answers.

But people better stay healthy or try to. Serious.

    Eat well, and exercise.
Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.

The current death penalty system is VASTLY more expensive than a life time prison sentence. That is a place to start.

Legalize marijuana, perhaps a few other "light" drugs, get those people who are in jail for those crimes the fuck out. Also, federally regulate and tax these drugs, leading to some cash for the government and less violence from drug trafficking.

Put the people who are in jail to work like Kelju said. Prisons for certain violent crimes (and arguably some white-collar crime) should definitely be bare boned, shit holes. Prisons for people who steal to feed their kids, or to get that television our society teaches us we must have, and do this because our country is structured in a way that keeps the rich rich and the poor poor, the educated educated and the uneducated uneducated. Well, those people I think deserve a bit better.
