Post your favorite Smart Phone apps

What are your applications that make life easier or just kill time?

    For my Nexus..
1- Aldiko-- E-book reader..wish there were more listed.
2-Bar code scanner--At first I thought it was silly till I found out it compares prices and looks for the best deals for you.
3- Chess- Great time killer and a great way to hone your skills.
4-Voice recorder--just used it to tape a slick car salesman and caught him in a lie.
5-Gmail, Google Voice, Google calender....it all ties in together flawlessly. Whatever you type on your home PC goes to your phone...Big Brother I hear?
    6- TV.com-- showtime, CBS, CNET, CW..really cool.
7-Flycast--I can listen to my local radio stations.

Google shopper- It's still raw but I like it's future.

"From Google: Shopper recognizes books, CDs, DVDs, and video games by their cover art, and also offers barcode scanning and voice search. You can view prices, reviews, and specs, and star your favorites for later. Shopper also saves your history for use offline and lets you share products with friends. Currently U.S. prices only."

I have six book apps, they all do the same thing I just like having it so I can have several books going at one time and open the app right to where I left off, I read by what mood I'm in, kind of like channel surfing except for reading, someday I might want poetry, another philosophy, adventure another and so on....

Another favorite app is my guitar chords/scales one, I go in now and then and re-learn the obscure ones that I always forget.....
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

    This must be new.

Android app can recognize a person, pull up their status updates

Imagine you’re at a conference and want to know something about the people around you. A new mobile application called Recognizr can identify a person’s face via your phone camera and deliver not only profile information about that person but also show you their latest status updates.

    For my droid:

    Google Voice,
PDANet...allows you to tether your android device to laptop without rooting it,
    SipDroid...buggy, but getting there,
Xtralogic Remote Desktop Client... to connect our (and client's) windows servers/workstations from anywhere
    Facebook,
Android turn by turn GPS... phenomenal,
    Pandora

Also 'album art grabber' I sync my MP3s, but it doesn't bring across the album art. this 1.99 app does the job.

I'm really considering rooting it for the Wifi tether, I just haven't used Linux since college

Also, isn't it WEP only right now?

What's the hardest part about owning an iPhone?

    Coming out to your parents.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

Just think of all the 13yo Vietnamese kids making $3/day in order to fulfill the world's iThingy habit.

It's a shame Apple couldn't charge say another $10/unit and make them here in the US with US workers.
