I used to w/o a while back during one summer at LA Fitness in the rather rich part of town. In fact I think i had the cheapest, shittest car in the area, and it was a fairly new Nissan lol.

My and my w/o buddy hit the gym pretty fukin hard and they never did anything. I actually used to wear this old Cockdiesel BB'ing tank top all the top as well, and nothing was ever said in terms of "bigger" guys w/o'ing out there.

Thanks for the search on lunk alarm.

    Planet Fitness seems like garbage.

What Planet Fitness owner Mike Katz never let out a grunt in his day???

The guy chucking stuff has other "issues". That was as uncalled for and as offensive and deeming as the alarm. He didn't "help" his case any. It was too over the top.

I doubt it was "roid rage" he probably always carries himself that way.

My LA Fit has guys moving big weights. There are a couple signs about steroids and dropping weight. Just signs, no hassles.

Are not the people that are activating the lunk alarm judging the folk they are activating the alarm against?

That's what immediately came to my mind.

    They are, judging people.

And the sign of a large body-builder with a slash across him. WTF?

    Stupidity.

Here is a guy who was squatting 500 pounds. He let out "grunts" apparently, and ....erm.....breathing is a part of heavy lifting.

He got booted. And they called the police.

Has society become this sissified and stupid?

I belong to Retro Fitness, a new chain. It is sort of lame, but thank goodness they don't pull that crap.

Years ago I was working out at Bally's as a 'guest'. There was a guy squatting and put 8 wheels on the bar. The manager came over and told him that the most allowed is 225. The guy ignored him and proceeded to squat. As he lowered his butt down he flipped 'the bird' on both hands to the manager for the entire set. Funniest shit I ever saw They escorted him out afterwards. What a fucking joke.

    More stupidity.

May I ask, why is there is limit on how much someone can lift?

Is this because of legal liability, or because of "intimidating" others?

    Either way, it's bullsh*t.

I get what they are trying to do here. It seems like a good place for my Mom or other old people that just exercise and don't really lift. If thats the policy then don't go to that gym. There are plenty of other gyms around that allow grunting and heavy weights. Also, every gym I have ever been to does not allow weight dropping. I don't even do that in my home gym. This makes me want to start a hard core power lifting gym. Kinda like DeFrancos. Wonder how lucrative that would be...

There are a couple near me. The membership is only 10$/month. It's always busy.

Should get the entire IFBB roster to go to a Planet Fitness and use up every single piece of cardio equipment in the place. Just to see what would happen.

Not very...Only money in fitness in in the ass blaster lazy boy, face toning pillow or the ab sculpting girdle....people want machines that do their exercising for them thats why you'll see the demise of gyms, it starts with tossing out the free weights for easier handled assisted lift machine weights like we're seeing now, soon we'l have robotic attachments that go through the motions giving people the illusion of exercising.....but isn't that what all this technology is for so we can lay around and have machines be our slaves///

If the Tourettes individual was a notbig then they won't kick them out. They'd be welcome.

If he was a big then yes, bye bye.

That place is basically a chick gym. And if you want to put it to good use why not just have 2 gym memberships. You can lift real weight at a real gym, and for $10 a month just go to that shithole and do cardio and check out the gash at the same time.

    GICH!

What I want to know is, how did a guy get all of that on video? Did he know in advance someone was going to set off the alarm? Who has a camcorder handy at the gym? LOL and the guy's reaction was priceless
Chuck Norris once lost his keys and couldn't remember where he put them. So he tortured himself for half an hour until he gave up their location.

Could have been a mobile phone video, spontaneous. Or, maybe the guy had a history and it was planned.

    Anway, Oaktownboy,

How are you? I haven't seen you on the board in a long time?

I assume you're better after the medical issue.

    What was it?

Glad you're back here on the board.
