Just because it was written in a rap song doesn't mean it's all true. He used to rap about stabbing people, but he's not on death row is he? That's cause most of the stuff he raps about never happened. But regardless of what the hell was really going on in his personal life, why the hell would I care either way? I don't sympathize with drug addicts that are all 'Oh poor me' when they put themselves there in the first place. Especially when they have little girls to take care of.

it is very typical that musicians of eminem status can't acheive the success of their first albums. Early on the musician is in a growth stage, and the albums tend to be very easy to listen too.

later attempts by the artist do not acheive the commercial success as there first few records as they are more advanced musicians creating better music. the new "better" music is therefore also no longer as easy to listen to, so it turns the typical main stream audience away. people dont want to work to listen to music.... they want it to be easy to listen to..

I don't really think it's so much that they develop and advance but more like what ceazur said, They just stop trying so hard. Like "I have all kinds of fans who will eat this shit up cause it's mine, it doesn't have to be great" I've seen it happen to a lot of bands that I liked. Either that or they try too hard to out-do themselves and just end up making a bunch of crap.

I want the jacket he's got on in it. I've never seen him dressed like that before. Looks nice. I think the reason I don't like the new stuff as much is because when he first came out it was easy to understand/hear all the words, and in some of the new stuff (last few albums) he raps a lot faster.

Seriously wtf? too much weirdness for me, he sure can rap but from talking about incest and his step dad touching him in different songs of his last album this dude has fallen off my list.

I don't always catch onto things very fast either, so I might not like some of it just because I don't get it yet. I'm just now getting the line 'we hit the trees till we look like Vietnamese people' from bad meets evil.
