It's a tv show for entertainment, it's on during work hours for housewives and people with no jobs to watch. It's a woman dressed and acting like a PMS'ing judge during an arbitration I mean the motto is JUSTICE WITH ATTITUDE what else would you expect....it's not like it's a real court proceeding arbitration is handled out of court...the arbitrator could dress in a chicken costume and hold a mock trial in a circus tent....

I've been to real courtrooms several times, fucking boring! The judge comes in reads forever, mumbles some words, lawyer stands up brings some more shit to the stand for the judge to read for another forever...on and on...out of 20 people I saw go in front of the Judges in cases I've seen only once did someone get crazy and yell at the judge, all other times the people looked like children standing in front of their parents during a scolding.......

Thats all the show is like I said and "The award for each judgment is paid by the producers of the show, from a fund reserved for each case."

It's television in the age of "Reality TV" what more do you expect Judge Ito?

you called her a judge and said her court... she doesn't have a court she has a studio and she's not a judge. there's nothing just about rewarding criminals for the sake of fame and ratings, it's ludicrous.

it'd be nice if the culprits really got the shaft but i have a hunch of my own, that that blonde scammer is smirking cuz the show is a joke and she's getting pocketful of money for being on it. seems more scummy than justice.

now that is just semantics... fine, legally she is no longer a judge in a real court (although she was for many years), however she is still "judging" the cases and giving a ruling.

But they get berated and embarrassed on TV, sometimes thats more harsh than what they would've got in small claims court.....

Personally, I would not take my case to Judge Judy's show in the first place, both litigants have to agree to do this, that is a decision these people make, I assume because they get a free trip to Cali and get paid for showing up.

Art Linkletter was way more entertaining.

Id like her to die, but other than that theres nothing more I can say about her.

I can't help but wonder what kind of wild woman she'd be in the sack.
