About the same. Nachos = $5.50, extra cheese.......? $2.00

..was pretty fucking good. I really enjoyed the 1st one and this one is a carbon copy at some points, but at others, they take a different twist which makes it, not fresh, but refreshed. If anyone is going to do a remake of any kind, this would be the way to go.
Oh..and I spent $8 on a Matinee price. Holy jesus. How much are movies where you peeps are?

Yeah, I'd heard good things about this one. I may check it out in the coming weeks.
It's funny you bring up movie prices; I was just bitching about the same thing earlier today. Matinee here is $7.25; regular ticket price is $9.25. I remember the days when matinee was actually cheaper @ $4.50 and regular tickets were $8.75(?)!
On a related note, I rented a new release blu ray movie this weekend for $4... holy shit! I actually thought about buying it instead. How these rental places manage to stay alive is beyond me.

But the Karate Kid learned Karate, why couldn't they just call it The Kung-Fu Kid, would make better damn sense....also why do they go to the Great Wall...just because they are in China? And the kid is supposed to be a teen, this kid looks like a pre-schooler...

Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

If they called it Kung Fu kid, they wouldve been criticized anyway for copying a story from The Karate Kid. Kind of an interesting way to put yourself in a lesser of 2 evils category.
The kid is 12. Even though Ralph played a teenager, this time its a kid no matter what. Plus, this kid gets beat worse than Ralph.

Movies here are $12.00. The place I go to charges $6.50 for a large popcorn but you get free refills.I try to remember to bring my own bottle of water in.
I have not see this flick but I'll check it out eventually. Last movie I saw was The A-Team.
