    Traveling with golf clubs

So, as the title suggests I am curious to know how I should go about securing my golf clubs for flying. I know there are traveling cases, but I don't want to buy a case to just use once, because once I get my clubs to where I want to go I wont be traveling with them again for a long time.

Just wondering if anyone has any tips or any advice on how to secure the clubs so they'll take them as a checked bag? I've had some people just tell me to place a bucket over the clubs then fasten the bag's cover over the bucket, but that doesn't seem to work very well.

If you don't want your clubs beat to hell and back, I would buy a hard plastic case with padding on the inside for your clubs. Trust me, I have flown a shit ton. Airport baggage handling sucks balls. They don't mind chuching your shit around and breaking every damn thing in your bag.

    Alright, thanks.

Yeah, I guess I'll buy a case by the sounds of it then. My clubs aren't an expensive set, but I still would rather them not be bent to crap.

Given that the baggage conveyor systems in some airports reach 20+ mph, I would secure them as best I could.....those things slam against the walls and everything on those conveyors....then I always look out the window as they load the bags into the cargo hold and those dudes will toss the bags around anyway they want....

He is not worried about his balls, only the golf clubs.

Do they give your balls when you start playing? I never played golf but I believed players should bring their own balls.

From your OP it sounds like you're making a one-way trip and staying. If that's the case, go to your local mail box type store and have your clubs bubble wrapped and boxed. Also have them use packing tape to fabricate a handle on the box for ease of carrying. That should keep them safe during the trip.
Rules? You mean we have RULES for that???
