Vince Neil arrested on DUI charge

Vince Neil was arrested early Monday in Las Vegas on a drunken driving charge. The AP reported the Mötley Crüe singer was being held at the Clark County jail penning a court appearance.

There are no further details at present. But if Neil was driving while inebriated, it would reveal the front man has learned little from his personal history. In 1984, Neil was drunken driving when he had an accident that killed his passenger, Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas “Razzle” Dingley. Neil was subsequently sentenced to a mere 30 days in jail.

The timing of the incident is unfortunate for Neil given that both his new CD, and his forthcoming memoir, are titled Tattoos and Tequila. Neil also has his own tequila line, Tres Rios, and earlier this month opened the Vince Neil Tres Rios Cantina at the Las Vegas Hilton.

Vince Neil’s spokesperson was unavailable for comment.

Neil was a studio singer. His live singing is not so hot. That's OK.

I liked Crue's first 2 albums. After that, it was bubble-gum butt-rocker stuff to me.

I remember Razzle or whoever in the crash in the mid 80s. DUI.
