That article is retarded. This has been accepted as fact for well over a decade, and now some Asian bitch makes it sound like this is some breakthrough news.

Oh, and the posters in that story are borderline downs syndrome victims. Retarded fucking Christians talking about creationism on a science forum covering a story about Neanderthals.

Fuck me, and I was having a good morning until my brain was raped by stupidity.

Why so down, it's even more fun to read the rebuttals of the science guys.....
    here's one:
"I see from many of the postings that not all Neanderthals are dead. "
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Relax Kelju. Go back to worrying about 'meaningful use' and your governments love. jk

Oh fuck me twice! The hospital administrator just dropped another 4 inch three ring binder on my desk this morning which is a continuation of information about hippa and meaningful use.

I am getting buried alive in paper work. Add to that my complete disinterest in actually reading this shit, and here I am ranting about creationist instead of actually working.

Don't gloss over that HIPPA stuff. The penalties for not adhering to it are incredible.

I feel for you man. IT guys like you in small hospitals have been put in an astronomical hard spot over the whole meaningful use issue. I seriously wish you the best bro.

I have an ace in the hole! I am pushing to add onto our current HIS system which in its entirety, gets us to meaningful use right off the bat. It just requires a half of a million dollar investment. The administrator knows this has to be done, and he agrees with my vision for the direction for where we need to go. Now I just have to wait on the powers that be come up with the funding.

500k isn't bad at all for what you are talking about. What time frame is your vendor promising to get you up and running on all the needed modules? have you spoken to other hospitals in your region to find out what physician adoption is like for your HIS system? are you guys a meditech site?

$500,000 isn't a lot in the budget of a hospital. Especially when it effects HIPPA compliance.

I think KelJu used to install those sort of systems. He knows all about them.

We use an off brand called CPSI. CPSI is similar to meditech only it isn't as good. Quite frankly, I could give a shit about how pretty the interface is. I want a one stop shop deal. I want a system that communicates with all aspects of the system to and from all modules and modalities seamlessly. CPSI can do that for us.

Physician adoption will be a pain in the ass, but anything to do with physicians is always a pain in the ass. The implementation plan would take a minimum of 6 months.
