    Ever have a tat removed?

I have a few tatoos that I gave myself when I was a teen and yesterday I looked into getting them removed using laser removal procedures.
I could not believe the expense I would have to endure to remove these things! They're not even real tat's.. just those "jail tat's" that you give yourself with a needle, thread and some indian ink. I was young and stupid but if I knew then that removing them would cost me something like $1000 each to remove.. well obviously, I never would have done it!
These places charge $200-$300 a session and usually require 3-5 sessions to fully remove. Add that with 5 different tat's.. holy dog shit!

Someone travel back in time and smack the shit out of me please?

Yeah, I guess if you tatted yourself up for fun, then lazer removal probably won't phase you.

Really? So you thought they were just temporary? You'd thought you would get a tatoo with the intention of removing it someday... but now it's just too expensive?

On the contrary.. I thought that when I was doing it that I would want it forever.
And don't laugh guys.. some people do remove them with sandpaper! Only they call it microdermabrasion!

When you did it, you didn't think you could ever get it off so now that there is an alternative and you can have it removed, it sounds like you have more options than you thought... you can't really complain about having more options than you though.

I know you requested somebody went back in time and slap the shit out of you but so far that is impossible... and even if we did it, it probably wouldn't stop you from doing it.

So if there is nothing we can do for you, the next best thing is to make fun of your situation.

Fk man, just get it covered up with something professional, its cheaper then getting it removed and the removal still leaves a mark/scar on you.

Find three place that will do it, and haggle with them using each of them against the other. In effect, you open up a bidding war for your business.

Also, price compare with Intense Pulsed Light Therapy.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

If you don't like the tat's you have you could always have a tattoo done over it with ones you do like. Just another option and cheaper.

Yeah, obviously thats a viable option but I prefer not having any tat's at all. These are really small tat's.. most less than a square inch.
I did get an appt. to consult with a Dr. today so I should get some actual costs soon.

Had my Uncle Sam tat removed in Nam by the VC using a strip of bamboo, slicing paper thin layers at a time like peeling a potato.............
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Thanks gents! This actually does look like a promising avenue. I'm going to search for some reviews on this process. Maybe this will work. Worth a shot.. $50 compared to $5000? Yeah.. that's worth a shot!
