i remember that cop in vegas that was taking women into the desert and raping them... murdered one finally? i forget the details. it does happen but that's the exception to the rule. i don't think anyone disagrees that this cop is unfit but i don't see an intentional murder. i think it's more dangerous to give kids the impression it is better to run than to comply and be respectful. running from an officer is undeniably more risky than being questioned by one.

Didn't see the Vegas story during a cursory Google, but found these...

Officer charged with federal crime of raping a female motorist
    By Robert Leon Davis
    Posted: Tuesday, June 03, 2008

California Police Officer Feliciano Sanchez, 33, was charged with a federal civil rights violation on a female motorist. A complaint, originally filed May 16, 2007 by a female motorist, alleged that the officer forced her to have sex with him under duress.

The complaint stated that the officer stopped her on a "traffic stop", then demanded that she drive to a remote location and raped her. Reports are that he was charged with aggravated sexual abuse, attempted aggravated sexual abuse, kidnapping, and threatening use of a weapon. He is being held without bond at a metropolitan detention center.

In another development, Missouri Police Officer Earl Leon Thompson, 42, was charged with forcible rape on a 14 year old child! The young child stated to her parents and police investigators that the officer "ripped" off her clothes and had sex with her even after she demanded that he stop. Later, the officer emailed the victim and told her "I luv you". The child's father saw the text message! The officer is free on a $100,000 bond.
Lastly, Fort Myers Police Officer Sergeant Michael Masiero, was charged with hitting and roughing up a citizen while questioning the citizen. Fort Myers Police Chief Hilton Daniels stated "that the complaint of excessive force came from within the department during a review".

I'd have pulled my real gun and popped a cap in his ass and one in the chain, ever tried to pedal a bike with a sore ass and no chain?

maniclion, what's a police officer carry, a 9mm or a 45? How much damage would that do to an ass cheek? Perhaps the officer is a better marksman than a driver. Hoping for the sake of all the suspicious looking teenagers in his jurisdiction that his superior encourages him to walk a beat.

No big surprise here. Cops acting reckless then taking no responsibility for it.

It doesn't say in the video what the situation was and that is the kicker. Everyone is making conclussions and you can't do that without knowing all the facts. Thus my statement. Even if it was a felony and the cop was justified, he could have done things different and it is unfortunate the way it turned out. But the facts are unclear of what took place and if the officer should be held accountable for any crime or not imo.

not moving the car off the kid might just be safer than running over him twice. if the front tires went over him it's better to lift the car off than back it off. the cop acted like an idiot but holy fuck, what an outcome. his life is probably ruined even though the judge pussied out.

There was no crime from the judge's perspective. And I suppose that's all that counts here. :-/

In the one video, the young man stated (perhaps guessed) that the emergency crew or firefighters had the equipment to lift the police car off the youth, but that they must have simply declared him dead at the scene.

IainDaniel, thank you for clarifying what you meant. I didn't mean to be disrespectful to you in my replies. I value your opinion even if I have different thoughts on this particular mess.

Well hopefully he knew all the details where we don't. On the other hand, even if he did not get charged or convicted of any crime, he can still be sued civally. He better hope he was a member of FOP. those lawyers will take care of you at no charge in cases like that.

hope the cop gets his karma.

^I'm a pretty positive person I believe, but I gotta say that I'm pretty sure there are plenty of people out there who sow a bunch of horrible stuff but never reap one bit of sorrow.

Over here, a friends brother was shot point blank in the face while on his knees on someones front lawn. He had no weapon and was underaged, he wasn't a big guy.

The officer got off, some witnesses testified some backed down.

How that doesn't sound like murder throws me, but sometimes they do get away with it.

Cops are protected. There is that whole police bond and camaraderie between law enforcement and to an extent even judicial personal. Also, law enforcement doesn't want cops to be caught doing something wrong, because it makes the whole force look bad. Cops are protected for the same reason the pedophile priest are protected.

But, it back fires. It pisses people off who demand some sort of justice, and causes lost trusts. This situation is a little different. I see that cop as being a retard trying to tasor a moving target from another moving target with only one hand on the wheel. But, his intention wasn't to kill the guy. He obviously doesn't have good enough judgment to carry weapons or drive cars, but again, I would charge him with a crime.

He might have been suspicious looking to begin with, but the minute he fled that made him definitely suspicious.... Now you have this scenario, a cop see's someone who looks out of place so he follows his instinct to stop for questioning and ends up in this debacle...then you have the dozens of cops who just wanted to get to the next coffee shop for a free cuppa' and scones who saw a suspicious person, asked them to stop, they ran and the cop thought about chasing them but said "Fuck It" and that SP ran off down the street to another block thinking it's their lucky day and raped and killed a woman.....then everyone is up in arms saying "Where the POooooo-LEEEESSS when this shits happenin???"
And the cops are like, "Well we're playing it safe so we don't end up gettin' crucified for unforeseen accidents whilst in performance of our duties.."
