Accidently being born into a particular country is nothing to be proud of however feeling pride for those who have fought for you country or have made your country a better place is perfectly fine IMO.

I'm proud of many Australians and I love my country but I am not "a proud Australian." To me that would be ignorant because I realise that I would have that feeling nomatter where I happened to be born.

Why is it that if this reverend burns a koran and someone gets killed by another muslim with a bomb up his ass, everyone wants to go after the reverend? I hope the guy burns a whole stack of korans, better yet, I wish he'd set a set a mosque on fire. The only thing better than burning the book would be to burn a follower of the book.

Seriously, this man has every right to burn the piece of trash book if he wants. If anyone gets hurt as a consequence, it is the fault of the muslim who does it and their vile religion, not the reverend. I commend him for his bravery and it is an honorable way to remember those who lost their lives on this day 9 years ago. I hope that we will see more of this.

^More or less, I agree. Hes burning a book, not beheading someone. Or flying a plane into a building. I was watching that all over today and I must say, its such a bitch move to pull a stunt like that. Nothing strategic about it. If it was one of their jets and they shot missiles ok, but hijacking shit? A fucking high school kid could do that.

if you are muslim and that offends you then you are an idiot as well. I'm LDS and burning the bible or book of mormon wouldn't offend me in the least. If you burned my personal copy of either then we have an issue that will most likely end in bloodshed, but burning a book that you purchased just shows stupidity.

This has nothing to do with the that priest. It's a two or three year old video from a Danish man in response to the Muslims burning two Danish embassies.

i didn't jump to any conclusions about this having to do with the priest. i figured it was just a video of someone burning a koran.

I totally believe that the muslim world has declared war against Christianity. we are in a holy war no doubt. they have declared war against us, and mainstream Islam hasn't spoken against it. that means they consent in my book. i think it's petty burning a koran. the fact our military has been over there this long and we haven't had an attack on american soil killing civilians in 9 years shows something in my book. support our troops
