Fly to Sydney, then take a trip up to the Gold Coast
Hey, I have been trying to plan a vacation to Aus. and am having a hell of a time getting what I feel to be informative info and I would like to know where to stay, and what all there is to do for someone that wants to go see some sites and do some good partying for the nightlife. I want to spend about a week and a half to two weeks and I want to be in either walking distance or public trans distance so I don't have to get a car. I have been told either Sydney or Melborne. Any input from residents or people whom have visited would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Thanks

Fly to Melbourne, stay in StKilda area. Near beaches, bars/clubs, quick 15min light rail ride to the CBD. Do an overnight tour down the great ocean rd to see Bells beach.
I love lifting so much that i wanna take it behind the school building and get it pregnant!
What time of year is best to go down there? I am guessing during the Dec-Feb time frame?
Yea thats when weather is the best, Best thing about sydney is it's beaches so get a place in bondi (it's gonna be expensive) or cronulla (which is a shire not really part of the city, although you can catch a train about a 40 min ride) Cause they are the two best beachs.
For nightlife kingscross (although there is dress codes for everyplace, you can't be too pissed and drinks are expensive and smaller, but same goes for every place in aus).
I'm from sydney and maybe it because i have lived here too long but I think you may be better off going to gold coast better night life scene for a tourist and nice beaches and your garenteed good weather.
Melbourne is only good for hardcare gyms (sydney has none) apart from that it's just colder than sydney nothing special.

melb and sydney are full of fags . . which is great if that's your scene![]()
