The plant I were I work is considering shutting down, while sister sites have already made the call to shut down tommorow.

I think if it was a 5 maybe a 4 and was going to hit us directly then we'd leave and head North.

But what's the point otherwise? I'd rather stick around and if my house starts to flood we can move everything upstairs.

I was born and raised in Baton Rouge. Now I live just a little north of there. Still in the East Baton Rouge parish though.

The storm was supposed to head right for us but if it keeps drifting east, that'd be fine wit me.

I had been meaning to ask you how was the trip down here. For some reason I was thinking it was at the end of sept. If I had known I would have went and met you.

Stupid me, I should have mentioned it to ya. It didn't even cross my mind.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a lot of time for sightseeing. I spent most of Sunday just walking around the city. It's a cool place to visit. Very unique. Burbon Street was fun. I got pretty ripped there Saturday night.

Overall though, most of my time was spent in that huge conference center. I did go to parties at the Superdome, some music hall by the Hilton Garden Inn, and a riverboat.

As far as food goes, I had fried alligator, some kind of jumbo cajun shrimp (heads, legs, skin still on), jambalaya, to name a few things. I had a pretty good time, especially considering work pays for everything.

Well for the most part, this thing is over. We are still gettin some pretty good gusts of wind. Up to 20-30 mph. New Orleans and around there, is having and will have some flooding issue's.
