Why people join a board and never make a single post?

I guess for some people it's to reserve thier internet handle on many boards so no one else can use their "identity", but I would think that is small amount of people.

I joined to check out a particular persons pic ( w8....remember??? ) and then didn`t post til about 4 months later

Well, I came to see the attachment of someone that I thought was a trouble maker

As it turns out, he is a fucking cool guy, the board rocked, so I lurked for awhile til things started sucking at the other site I was on.

I do have my name registered at other sites just to lurk there too though......without ever posting.

I didn't join for the pics, I joined for knowledge then the pics! I don't think I looked at the pics until way past my 25th post. I think people just forget Prince. I've all ready forgotten about "that other" BB site!

sometimes I see a link from one board to another and I want to see an attachment or something so I join and never post. I have done that on several boards.
