I'm afraid Congress is beyond redemption.

The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen.Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathersenvisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home andback to work.

that all sounds good on paper but you are forgetting the biggest obstacle, the corporate special interest system basically controls Congress. I don't see how that will every be removed from US politics when there are people like John Boehner fighting to turn this country over to the big businesses, better chance of unscrambling an egg.

They like the special treatment they get from deep pocketed special interest groups trying to curry favor by taking them out on the town and shit.....I saw a documentary where they followed some senators around and it showed where something like 6 of them shared an old run down apartment....which I called BS on immediately, you know they only rent that as a front while they stay at high end hotel rooms all of the time as "gifts" from lobbyists, they ride around in limos even though they bought that Geo Metro for $400 to keep around as another front....and the hookers, they love them some hookers....I know, I had a pimp friend when I worked the luxury car rentals in Waikiki, he started in DC made big money out their with 4 ho's then moved on to Vegas and finally Waikiki catering to Japs who love his blonde bombshells in their Gucci skirt suits....dude used to tip me $100 every time, I guess that's how he got the alias of C-Note....

Ought to be done out of fairness, and keeping those inside the beltway in touch with the rest of the working folks.

But I don't see it happening, ever.

Interesting when those who actually have the power to enhance their own status and benefits do so.....

If they don't vote the way you wanted, take them out and shoot em.

Heck, in the other countries that is what is done. Hell, China is rich as hell, they have a somewhat military presence and if you cross the line, welp that is it
