Victory for Obama Admin! Gitmo detainee acquitted of all but one Charge

IMO, this is a victory for the Obama admin. This is exactly what they were hoping for, leniency for a terrorist who had been unfairly subjected to the horrors of gitmo for many years before getting his "constitutional right" of a jury trial. I'm sure the family members of those killed are joyful that he's been convicted of conspiracy to destroy govt property. Just wait till 9/11 architect, Kahlid Sheikh Muhammed goes on trial. He was "tortured" by having water poured over his face. So, there's a good chance that most of the evidence against him will go out the window.

It's no wonder that we're such a comedy routine to the rest of the world. The only good thing about it is that it's just one more assurance that after 2012, Obama will most likely be building houses for Habitat with Jimmy Carter.

The Tanzanian was convicted on just one count of conspiracy to damage or destroy U.S. property and cleared of 276 counts of murder and attempted murder in the bombings that took 224 lives, including 12 Americans.

The US is the epidemy of hypocrisy and always has been, but that surely has nothing to do with how the rest of the world views us.

Typical ultra-lib thinking. That's right. The USA is the absolute worst country that has ever existed in the history of mankind. The DOJ should take it easy on the terrorists. After all, these so called terrorists are merely the manifestation of 60 years of U.S. world domination, discrimination of minorities, and hording of the world's resources at the expense of poor nations. Am I right? Come one, deep down you know that's what you believe. Seriously, why do you stay if you think this country is so terrible?

Anyhoo, I didn't mean we're the laughing stock because of hypocrisy. We're the laughing stock because we have a guy like this, Khalid Sheikh Muhammad, and others in custody and here we are fighting with each other over whether or not he's being treated fairly. He was instrumental in the murder of 3000 of our own. Yet, if he complains that his soup was cold, the left wants investigations and prosecutions. We even have people in congress and now in the whitehouse and DOJ, who are willing to jeopardize national security and turn on our own military and intelligence community for political gain, all under the guise of "human rights" or "ensuring due process". This is partially because of people like yourself, whom Lenin dubbed "useful idiots" have matriculated your way into leadership positions.
