Green Lantern Blu-Ray Review Calls The Movie An "Eyesore" And Not Worth Buying!
One of the first reviews for Green Lantern on Blu-ray reveals that the quality of the HD picture is pretty awful, stating that: "Green Lantern's video transfer languishes in darkness and never shines as bright as its heroes' rings"...
Green Lantern did not look up on the big screen in 3D, and it disappointingly doesn't look any better in HD according to a review over at Blu-ray.com! Many thanks to "Jordanstine" over at the SHH Forums for compiling the following excerpts from the review. Remember, you can read it in full by clicking on the link below.
The Green Lantern movie sucked donkey balls. Okay, the effects were good and they didn't overuse a steady-cam, but that doesn't make a good movie.
Let me count they ways:
2 minute training with Kilawog.
Main bad guy had maybe 20 lines. Was complete CG. Was mostly a cloud with a face.
The secondary bad guy was mostly a joke.
Huge tonal change at the 80% mark. It was from a feel-good Super-man type movie to a Dark Night type movie.
A completely unneeded love interest.
The main bad guy dies after (maybe) three minutes of fighting.
Shitty pacing. For example, Hal's transformation is crap: I'm a guy that can't be reliable...BAM...I'm reliable now.
That's just the stuff that I remember after trying to put it out of my mind.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
to improve their lives.
I didn't pay to go see it in theatres.. Thats about the only way I will contribute to a movie's success. Anyway, I did download it though, and its pretty sad to say that I regret even using bandwidth on it.
