you should join. they just upped the entry date to like 48 or sum10.

plus if you have a masters, youd make captain or LT easy.

as a veteran i don't like it.....our military is already becoming pussified by lowering fitness standards, aptitude standards, and backing off on "hardening techniques" in basic training....."stress cards" if you get yelled at by the drill sargeants? complete bullshit......i will say this though, that after being a civilian for 10 years now after 2 enlistments that there's no stopping it from happening.....i do believe that gays shouldn't be allowed in combat arms though just like women.....the problem is how does the military ask and assign units without creating an atmosphere for lawsuits for asking?

there were so many open female fags in the army it wasnt funny. orgies, all types of shit. the army, and not to sound racist, if the capt is a black female, the likelyhood of female faggotry is like 10 fold. just a random observation.

and look, if fags wanna die in honor, cool. who cares? long as that shit isnt going down in the barracks. hell fucking no. thats beatdown, then court martial.

they lower the standers too much. one unit i saw them taking guys with no education and they had to promise to Get A GED...WTF.. lucky none of these tools will beable to get into specwarfare..or they won't tell ..Because they will get beat...U hear that gearsG

I've never served, but it does seem like the argument against fags in the military is very similar to the argument against integration in the military 50-60 years ago. If a homo wants to serve, I don't see what the problem is. It's not like he's gonna be trying to cornhole his fellow soldiers in the show. Hell, the barracks would probably be a helluva lot neater with a few of them in each one. I doubt we're gonna see droves of flaming queens running to the marines now.

Well, CaptainInsano PM'd me and said when he joins he is going to cornhole all the men. Just a heads up. But on a serious note, I agree with Irish. The military is becoming softer and gentler. It makes me sick to see how it has evolved and I'm not just talking about gays in the military. I'm sure 20 years from now it will be more accepted. What I'm talking about is how certain branches are becoming more "corporate" like. Being a seasoned vet in the military, I observed this process with new recruits. Once these recruits reached their first duty station they are threatened with paperwork. If they get in minor trouble it's no longer an "in your face ass chewing" it's a threat with paper work on their permanent record. I refused to write these new members up with paperwork and stuck with the traditions of the military. Screw this softer, gentler mindset. Soldiers are being turned into pussies!

It's official...... 55-Yea to 41-Nay. The DADT policy has been repealed. Dick suckers and carpet munchers can now serve openly. Now we can openly use them for punching bags and target practice on deployments. However, the Navy has always had the policy "It's not gay if you're underway."

I would think what we would want as a country is the best toughest most hard core military in the world especially since the chicken hawks want to send our guys all over the globe to bomb rocks into smaller rocks and build schools for burka wearing chicks with bad teeth. But anyway, I want the toughest meanest most feared military on the planet for when the real shit hits the fan. I want all the tough kids from big cities and all the MMA fighters and stuff to be thrown into the forge that is basic and those that make it through be even tougher so they can face the horrors of what they must do.

I's fix'n to say, I know the Greeks had a helluva army, but I think there probably were some gay orgies going on fairly regularly. Maybe we'll be seeing moar of that now after this ruling.

however...this could be a good thing....now that there are open gays allowed (or already in) we can have co-ed showers. 'cause...if an open gay man or woman can shower with their sexual preferance, then hetrosexuals should be allowed to shower with their sexual preference...if not...I see sexual harrassment suits coming...

But I have faith in our Nation to always pull together and do what we gotta do, our gov. had a chance to cash in on that after 9/11 but then they started losing our trust like a sieve with the Iraq WMD shit et al.... Nation building was the mistake IMO. We should have bombed the everloving fuck out of the Taliban and Al Quaeda holdouts in Afghanistan, promised them more if we ever heard a peep out of them again, then gotten the fuck out. There is no reason to be there 9 years later. The fuckin' WTC hasn't been rebuilt. Just punish the enemies and GTFO. That's what was done to Saddam in 1991 and it worked.
