Not a Joke - Honest

Marine Corps General Reinwald was interviewed on the radio the other day and
you have to read his reply to the lady who interviewed him concerning guns
and children. Regardless of how you feel about gun laws you gottalove
this!!!!

This is one of the best comeback lines of all time. It is a portion of a
National Public Radio (NPR) interview between a female broadcaster and US
Marine Corps General Reinwald who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop
visiting his military installation.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: So, General Reinwald, what things are you going to teach
these young boys when they visit your base?

GENERAL REINWALD: We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery and
shooting.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it?

GENERAL REINWALD: I don't see why, they'll be properly supervised on the
rifle range.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous
activity to be teaching children?

GENERAL REINWALD: I don't see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle
discipline before they even touch a firearm.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: But you're equipping them to become violent killers.

GENERAL REINWALD: Well, you're properly equipped to be a
prostitute, but you're not one, are you?

The radio went silent and the interview ended.

I've got my eye out for those special pics...

LoL...

My dad grew up with guns and went hunting with his dad through the years, and didn't become a bank robber/terrorist etc

People have such a hard time understanding someone elses cultural makeup/beliefs, and sadly often dont even try.

I grew up with guns. Various loaded pistols in drawers around the house, a sawed off riot shotgun by the front door, and a load full auto machinegun in my parents closet. When I was 12 I found a pistol in a James Bond book that I liked and my dad took me out to get it. It stayed loaded on my headboard throughout high school and is in my nightstand now.

I'm not a killer.

That's great.

I owned a slingshot. One of those cool ones you strap to your forearm. Does that count?

GUNS!!! I LOVE them! I used to shoot competitively til my kids came along. Now I'm thinking about training my son to shoot along with me. My dad's a NRA Instructor and competitive shooter as well. .

Does your son have one now?

Maybe it's the violence that is in the media nowadays that is more harmful, not the guns...?

I think that's part of it. That and no one wants to take responsibility for their actions any more, and this society (lawyers and politicians) are letting people do what they want then blame it on something or someone else. America as a whole has become way to politically correct.

I think it's time to start kicking butt and taking names

I am already teaching my 4yr old little girl to shoot a bb gun, and she likes it.
